Pros

some nice people parties every wednesday at someone's house

Cons

low pay extreme pressure ( admin coming through and watching your performance, while at the same time they are distracting the kids and you are trying to have the kids take part in the activity) always feeling like you are replaceable (seeing your job online open to applications for the whole summer and being told people are waiting for you to mess up and to get your job) no support

Pros

If you enjoy working with kids, this could be a great job for you! Additionally, the other camp counselors are all around the same age (between 16 and 25) so it is a nice way to make new friends in the area, and there is a pretty social environment both at work and outside of work.

Cons

The management team was not always supportive of me when I was having problems with my campers either not respecting my authority or being inappropriate with other campers. The management team also made some inappropriate jokes to me while I was at work, many of the jokes regarding certain races.
