Pros

Interesting colleagues Some interesting projects

Cons

Overly political culture for a small organization Leadership centers "white comfort", particularly the comfort of the white leaders Lack of vision from leaders, lack of understanding of how to build a culture where there is authentic belonging Stated values are not reflected in actual firm culture

Pros

Intellectually stimulating and meaningful work in the social impact sector. Good pay relative to other social impact Consulting companies. Small but entrepreneurial with the ability to quickly make change within projects and within the organization. Visible and active commitment to equity long before it was popular and after the government crackdown. The company does hold people accountable for doing high quality work, so a lot of the negative comments here are from people who were held accountable.

Cons

Still relatively small so does not have the infrastructure the bigger firms have. The company has a lot of growing to do still to strengthen how it operates. The sole focus on social impact can mean greater volatility compared to management consulting which can even out ups and downs with commercial business. The benefit of course is you will never be asked to increase the sale of opioids. Definitely take the time to know the company and its strengths and growing needs to make sure it is the right choice for you.

Pros

-Largely interesting work, although mostly global health focused at the cost (seemingly) of other interesting sectors -Generally respectful, kind staff and clients -Firm has re-invested in DEI with effective leadership

Cons

-Agree with previous review that there is still some white-dominant/ Seattle-focused culture despite having a wide variety of staff backgrounds and experiences -Promotion decisions can feel political, and expectations are not clearly set around them across the firm/ when joining -Leadership could build listening and inclusivity culture more -Sometimes there is a culture of 'Seattle nice' where no negative feedback is given except when it becomes a barrier to advancement
