      Pros

      Caltrans provides some of the best exeprince when working in Right of Way. You get experience from acquisitions and talking to property owners, as well as appraising land, up to even working with relocation of utilities. Overall the company had a great culture within Right of Way. They male you feel welcome and important.

      Cons

      There are better paying internships out there especially if you are not an engineer, they told me if even if you have enough units to graduate they wont pay you more than a dollar above minimum if your not an engineer student.

      Pros

      * most executives and office chief leaderships are supportive and easy to talk to. * great diversity in the workplace, with many people from varying background being represented and promoted. * great work-life balance if you're a specialist.

      Cons

      * some senior branch chiefs end up working on weekends. * not specific to department, but state workers keep getting their raises cut.
