Pros

Good options for benefits. Senior Designers 5 years accrue vacation time at 2.6 hr/wk. Int'l and domestic work to add to your profile. Domestic and int'l offices could offer transfer abilities. Travel for work provides opportunity to see new cities and countries, RTKL will foot the bill, no per diem. They have a budget for professional development, they reimburse education that is related to your field. They may not pay for your professional organization's conferences for travel not related to projects.

Cons

No sick time, must take PTO. Work/life balance is very hard for at least half of the employees. Travel for higher positions is not optional, tends to be hard to put family first. Every VP is different, some are hard drivers, others are happy to hear your thoughts and express yourself. You have to be 100% billable. Office meetings can have your come in early, take your lunch time (frequently). The VPs (even across offices) hold favorites, if you aren't on that list, you aren't getting pick for cross-office meetings. Communication/transparency is less than ideal. You'll be constantly bombarded to take surveys and answer anonymous for RTKL to improve, but it is surely a ruse to make you feel like you'd been listened to.

Pros

* Opportunities to work on international projects and for new employees to freely share their ideas. * Leadership that not only guides design but also supports employees in becoming better professionals and people. * A great LA office environment with a fitting salary. * An office team with excellent skills and knowledge, and great teams that are easy to work with.

Cons

It seems that incorporating more trend-forward designs could lead to even better results, but as a newcomer, I found it challenging to overcome the established methods and the specific direction and style clients wanted. Nonetheless, they consistently delivered solid outcomes.
