Pros

Great place for folk who are entrepreneurial. Lots of career paths available. CallisonRTKL puts it's money where it's mouth is when it comes to development with a $2000 per year stipend for all staff levels to take classes and workshops in line with career goals. CallisonRTKL will also reimburse you for each ARE exam passed. Being part of Arcadis, (a Dutch Engineering Firm) we also benefit from the European view of Paid Time Off. New hires at the Designer Level automatically get over 3 weeks vacation per year,...growing rapidly. The Seattle Office has a strong focus on a culture of learning and sharing. With regular lunch and learns, mentorship programs. People who thrive at CallisonRTKL are those who are not afraid to seize the opportunities presented to them rather than waiting for others to offer them up.

Cons

Pandemic hit the office hard as most of their clients were in retail. It is now recovering. The merger between Callison and RTKL 6 years ago was bumpy as systems integration and turf wars played out. However, over 60% of the firm has been hired since the merger and there is new leadership and spirit within the firm

Pros

* Opportunities to work on international projects and for new employees to freely share their ideas. * Leadership that not only guides design but also supports employees in becoming better professionals and people. * A great LA office environment with a fitting salary. * An office team with excellent skills and knowledge, and great teams that are easy to work with.

Cons

It seems that incorporating more trend-forward designs could lead to even better results, but as a newcomer, I found it challenging to overcome the established methods and the specific direction and style clients wanted. Nonetheless, they consistently delivered solid outcomes.
