Pros

Managers are strong individual performers that can help improve your SE skill set. Managers appear to listen but are encouraged to be a stop gap from concerns reaching upper management and will not drive action on your behalf. Many of the SEs on the team are great to work with and are really supportive. There's a sense of camaraderie being in the trenches together. It's perceived that when the deal closes, naturally the AE gets credit for effective deal management and more often than not, when it doesn't close, just as naturally the SE gets the credit for doing a bad demo. See more expectations down below. Bottom line, this is a good place to get SE experience selling to well known companies. Learn as much as you can, but be ready for a short ride and to move on when opportunity presents itself.

Cons

Just the facts: 100% turnover with CPQ SEs in the past 5 months. 40% turnover with Commissions SEs in the past 5 months... more to come. Aside from LMS, these are the two critical products for the "Lead to money" suite. 8 months in, essentially your 1st full quarter as a contributor, you will quickly begin to question if the level of effort is worth the return on your time. A pervasive problem within the team. AEs are great at generating activity. Which creates a significant alignment imbalance by supporting a workload 20-40% greater than your bandwidth just to reach your OTE. Here's the crux. AEs want to show their manager a promising pipeline they can close. The value is based on activity (i.e. more demos means greater interest which equals higher probability, and most importantly I get to keep my AE job) What this means for you is repeating the same demo to different stakeholder groups over and over OR building POCs often for your first sales event for "deals that aren't real". An expression you'll often cite during pipeline analysis.

Our SE team is important to us. Actionable feedback is important to us. We believe our open door policy and internal dialogue is the best way to improve any situation and a glassdoor post is not that. You mention several time in your post about not having a voice. The reality is we each have a voice here and the ability to use the open door policy- it does work. I encourage you to approach me or any of the executive team with your concerns if you feel your manager is not advocating or supporting you. Our environment is not for everyone; we work hard, keep a fast pace and give 110% each day. We expect our managers to support, encourage and most importantly be a coach alongside you as you give that 110%. We want each team member to feel appreciated and well rewarded for their hard work. Again, I encourage you to use the open door policy.

Pros

Money, maybe? PTO is generous.

Cons

Management does very little communicating with employees, then holds "mistakes" against them without communicating how they'd rather have something done. If you aren't the golden child employee, you're expendible and not worth their time. You're inconsiderate of other's time if you ask questions, but you're not asking enough questions if you get something wrong. Only work here if you're a mind reader or excellent at monolith applications that are overly complex for no reason.
