Pros

I have had a great experience working for California Faucets, i have really grown here and this place has allowed me to have great benefits, great working hours, plenty of OT, every now and then you get a nice treat. This company provides you stability if you want it, How you work and being on time is HUGE in this company.

Cons

A bit of downside is the company is limited to growth because of the size of buildings which makes work difficult because there is not enough room to move around physically, the company can improve in many areas but to me the ones that matter are Core Values, Covid-19 check in, equipment, space to work.

Pros

Work/Life balance- A strict 8a-5pm. You're never expected to work past 5pm. Very rarely worked overtime during the past decade. Coworkers- They're just good people. Friendly, genuine folks that you don't often meet in OC. I'm going to stay in touch with many people I worked with. There was very little turn over in the past decade. Benefits- Good. Healthcare is fully covered which is rare. The "profit sharing" pension would be meaningful, if they had turned a better profit over the years. They make up for it by having a good 401K match. I worked at this company for almost 10 years. When I first started, management was very accessible and transparent. The original owner, Fred (RIP), used to walk around and chat with employees. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and collaborative. This is what kept me at the company for so long. I felt like I was around people who wanted to work hard, and management wanted to work together with employees to make things happen. I left because the founding values of the company are rapidly disappearing.

Cons

California Faucets was bought out by ABG in November 2025. Brian took over as President, and the entire atmosphere in the company has shifted. Meetings feel tense and rushed. Deadlines have become impossible to hit. There is a general fear of "wasting company time". A metaphorical cattle prod has zapped the company. PTO- Abysmal. (this isn't new, but it's been the biggest negative since I started) 15 days off includes sick days. Unpaid time off is not allowed without FMLA. It increases to 20....after you've been there 10 years. It's a good thing HR often forgets to process requests for time off and management doesn't care to follow-up. WFH- While no formal announcement was made company-wide, employees are now required to be in office 4 days a week. There is zero flexibility in this policy, nor exceptions or accommodations given. Show up or get fired! Company Picnic- They used to hold this during work hours. Now you get the privilege of going to work once a year on a weekend for some In and Out---this is not a benefit. Just give me an extra $20 once a year. HR- The team is great; however, if you ever need any follow-up from the HR Director Cheryl....good luck! I would have said everything written in this review directly to her and the team, if she had followed through to schedule my exit interview.
