This used to be a great company to work at. Prospects seemed exciting, advancement seemed possible. Leadership would occasionally send us gift cards to order lunch while working from home and regularly host various social events at the office locations or local venues. Former managers were knowledgeable SMEs and hosted collaborative work-alongs for new employees.

Self-important, myopic middle management who instead of reducing meetings as instructed, will schedule more. They can't imagine their purpose beyond commanding the use of others time and attention, even if it is just to pontificate about the same no-solution based topics.
