Pros

Teammates (outside of leadership) were all great - communicative and want to succeed. Most positions are offered remotely.

Cons

Calendly used to have a sparkling reputation for culture and treating employees well, so I was very excited to start there. It turns out I started at the wrong time, as benefits and culture were being reduced and employees' humanity was put on the back burner. The CEO and CFO make all the decisions, but then in company all hands will blame the rest of the employees for the business tanking. There is no real plan or vision and they pivot constantly. Management will treat you like a number no matter how small your team. I was looking for an employer where I'd be happy another 5-10 years and instead left after 1. Shortest job I've ever had in tech but I had to get out for my own sanity. Additionally they seem to prefer hiring outside talent to promoting internally which gives you limited growth options. I could not recommend this company less, and I'd be surprised if they're still operating in a year.

Pros

You have all the resources needed to assist users!

Cons

Calendly is growing fast, which means continuous changes and a fast-paced environment, which will require you to keep up with new information. Since Customer Service provides vital assistance to the users 24/7, the Support team receives less perks!

Pros

There are a lot of great things about working for Calendly and they've come a long way with improving the culture. Compensation is very competitive, benefits are great, and fun company events and chances to connect with others virtually. Most people that work there are smart and great to work with.

Cons

The company is still trying to determine the best direction with the product. This can lead to uncertainty about future success.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We appreciate you sharing such thoughtful feedback about your time at Calendly. It's genuinely nice to hear that the compensation, benefits, and the people you worked with stood out and that you've noticed the cultural progress we've been making. That kind of growth doesn't happen by accident, and it reflects a lot of effort from folks across the company. Your point about product direction and the uncertainty that can come with it is well taken, and we've passed that feedback along to the right leaders. Transparency around strategy matters, and your advice to management is something we'll make sure is heard. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective. — The Calendly People Team
