Pros
I cannot even think of a good place to start talking about the pros that CalRob has given me the opportunity to experience so I will just start out with saying that this internship has, in general, given me great business and life experience. One of my favorite things that I was lucky enough to do was getting to manage a whole business. I was passionate about building long lasting customer relations, because there was nothing better than seeing my customers smiles when we completed the job. Hiring and managing my own employees was an overall great experience. Even though CalRob provided me with all the marketing materials I needed to hire employees, I still had to make my own personalized marketing campaign to make sure my efforts reached the right individuals. Keeping my employees satisfied was a challenge in itself, but I had a blast coming up with new incentives to keep my crews morale at 110 percent. I had to spend the majority of my time as a Branch Manager marketing to generate leads for potential jobs and it was easily one of the most valuable experiences that I got from CalRob. Seeing all of the leads pile in after putting in a lot of work was almost as rewarding as getting my very first sale. In order to make a sale required me to estimate the job so my customer would have a price to make their final decision. Deriving a price was a great learning experience because I got to see behind the scenes on how business owners decide how to price their respective services and/or products. There are many more pros that I just don't have time to type out which is why I think you should be CalRobs next Branch Manager.
Cons
The only cons I have regarding this internship are the countless hours I had to put in in order to guarantee myself a healthy business and successful summer. There is one thing I can tell you one thing if you are thinking about taking on this internship and it's that this is not for WANTREPRENEURS. For your information a 'wantrepreneur' is a person that wants to own their own business, but is not willing to put in 60, 70, or even 80 hour work weeks which, keep in mind, are one of the main reasons why people like Mark Cuban, Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, and heck even Thomas Edison were and are so successful.
