Pros

While you are there, the pay is decent for the area and they really like to talk up being a "Great place to work" and a "Caframily".

Cons

They lay off staff suddenly, indiscriminately and inhumanely. They completed several rounds of layoffs, immediately treating laid off staff as if they were criminals and not the loyal, hard-working employees they were. This is not any kind of caring, family culture, despite how they advertise themselves. Senior management truly only care about their bottom line, at the great expense of the community members who build their products.

Pros

Some great coworkers who try their best despite the leadership.

Cons

management is completely disconnected from day-to-day operations. They make decisions without consulting the people actually doing the work, leading to constant confusion and inefficiency. The leadership team changes priorities often, with little focus on ever completing anything. Lack of Leadership: No clear direction, no accountability, and no real strategy. It often feels like leadership is just making things up as they go. Favoritism and Nepotism: Promotions are based on who you know, not what you contribute. Hardworking employees are overlooked while friends of management get ahead. The way women are treated is significantly different than the men that report to the top. It is not an equal place. Zero Transparency: Management hides information and refuses to communicate openly, leaving employees in the dark about important company changes. The company is in post covid market loss, yet they keep trying to say things are ok, and we are on a path to recovery. The smart people know this isnt't the case as we all await the next layoff while executives enjoy their bonuses. High Turnover: So many talented employees leave because they’re tired of dealing with poor leadership and empty promises. Most recently seeing our latest engineering manager abrublty terminated when we all thought he was one of the better ones (they cycle in and out of here every couple years it seems), its sad to see great people be treated poorly - we all know if you disagree or get on the bad side of the SLT team, you're pretty much done for.

Pros

Moderate Benefits Package and Sick leave Willing to train first aiders

Cons

Didn't realize at the time that being called in 6 hours after doing a 12hr shift was illegal - labour's laws require minimum hours of rest all employees and employers follow safety is preached but not inforced - combustible materials bring stored against electrical breakers - forklift blocking emergency exit while charging and management still expecting blocked door to be main exit - safety clothing required areas clearly marked but not enforced, office personnel don't take kindly to being reminded about safety Upper Management Severe disconnect from workers - look down on non office ideas as inferior and below them, believe intelligence goes from office down - will release sole bread winner from company only to give the supervisor a 10k check next day as a reward for years of service - claims quality matters but numbers only factor they care about, bare minimum done on recalls - human resources and upper management will pass the buck when terminating employees by refusing to answer questions and forcing other departments under them to claim fault Likes to use the term "Caframily" to refer to workforce - Only time family feeling is referenced is when office wants something - metrics for production that don't allow bathroom breaks to meet quota but office personnel use no metrics and will regularly brag they are just killing time to end of day or don't feel like working that day, considered normal and exceptional - Can purchase drinks but removed resealable drinks that were allowed on production floor, when asked told to deal with cans All problems experienced have been confirmed by other former employees after a large walk out before covid - Management will pick favorites, promote them and allow them to work less, get away with mistakes, and penalize other employees their "friends" don't like
