Pros

Competitive pay, though they seem to be letting go of the highest earners. 401k that will never be vested due to turnover. Bonus incentives that you may not receive due to turnover.

Cons

No personal life. Management makes you work extra hours during high volume without warning per management discretion and often without extra pay. Lack of training as you are expected to train yourself. There is no training schedule for new employees. No training manuals. No OSHA training. No asbestos ID training. Management acts as a high school clique. Extremely high turnover. If they don't like you personally (nothing to do with performance), they will pick on you until they find "something" they can fire you for. They will nickel and dime your paycheck. Management will throw employees under the bus for management's mistakes to cover their a.... Often resulting in reduction of pay or other disciplinary action including termination.

CWF Restoration Response

We're terribly sorry to see that you feel this way about our company. The nature of our work is in an emergency response capacity, and we will be the first to tell everyone coming in for an interview that we work very, very long hours during catastrophic events. It is, after all, an industry that responds to storms, floods, and fires. We cant predict when they will happen, or how severe they will be. It is our job to be skilled at responding to those universal truths. We do compensate employees for their time (you even list in your “Pros” as “Competitive Pay”) and have structured, open-book finances that allow our employees to see how manage our money. Hourly workers get overtime pay, admin staff get quarterly performance-based bonuses, and commission-based employees enjoy generous compensation for their hard work. We do indeed have mandatory (and paid) state-of-the-art training for every single field employee, which we take very seriously. At the time of your review, our most-recent OSHA training took place the week of May 18th. We wish you the best of luck on your career path.

Pros

Was a warm and welcoming environment at first. Free snacks and at your own pace.

Cons

But with the amount of people who quit in my department in 2025 alone, workload became overwhelming and pay was not worth it even with quarterly commission. When I started, estimators handled 50-60 files to when I left we were handling 180-200 files. Nothing was done by management to alleviate pressure and workload. I would stay after hours our of choice just to make sure I wasn’t behind. No recognition for going above and beyond and instead management asks why our numbers aren’t higher. Pay is lower than competitors. People talk behind your back and can’t confront others face to face when they have an issue. Some upper management has some emotional outbursts and have witnessed one lash out in an emotional episode. Micromanaged with 24/7 audio and visual surveillance.
