Pros
As Portfolio Director, I get to organise lots of events across the middle east for large oil companies and arrange the conferences including everything from drinks reception, table arrangements, food, buffets, hotels, presentations, etc. It's a good position of responsibility and the travel is great, get to meet lots of new people.
Cons
The management of the company don't really provide any good training or mentoring programme and this can mean you get demotivated. So you have to be very self-motivating. The pay is less than average as the yearly increases are not great.
