Pros

CTIS as a company is a combination of fun, vibrant, thought provoking and challenging opportunities. There are endless opportunities here, but are not handed to you, you have to prove yourself. The environment allows you to work independently on projects with direction and support from management when needed. The environment is self-motivating and continual change that makes things always interesting. The mission and work is captivating and inspiring, focused on making a difference in the health research community through technology. The company and its leadership both demonstrate this through actions, supporting the mission of the company through dedication. The level of expertise within the company is phenomenal and provides great resources to tap into and learn from. The culture/ work environment is friendly and informal, making it very enjoyable to spend your work time, so many different things happen each day that it is never boring. In addition to my work, the friendly environment, after and during work day fun and team building activities keep me motivated and want to be there. I feel that this an excellent place to position myself in because of the constant opportunities to grow and learn professionally.

Cons

Due to the fast pace work environment there are high expectations and standards set for all employees, which not everyone is cut out to meet. If you are not a self-starter or a quick learner and need hand holding you may be at a disadvantage though not for too long. If you prove yourself there is no looking back. There is no predictable career path to promotions and titles – though effort is being made to set one tying it to role and responsibilities.
