Pros

CTAC offers a comfortable, casual, and fun work environment with skilled and talented employees. Teamwork within and between teams is strong and employees are supportive of each other. Work in progress is not micromanaged and for the most part they trust you to get the task at hand completed. Flexible schedules and tele-commuting when needed is offered as long as it is not abused.

Cons

Lacking some structure and basic management from the top. There doesn't seem to be anyone holding staff accountable or to respond when employees voice concerns or issues. Very reactive to clients rather than being proactive to avoid issues down the road. Business development seems to be lacking. There are not a lot of solid processes which causes issues when 3 people on a team are doing the same process 3 different ways.

Pros

CTAC is a small company, so employees get to wear many hats and have a lot of opportunities to branch out and try something outside their job scope... and training to maintain skill levels is offered and available. Everyone is sociable and the work environment is friendly. The CTAC team is professional and follows policies responsibly with an open mind to individual circumstances (I had a close family member, and not just a child, who was seriously ill and CTAC gave me their full support). My coworkers are responsible people and we get to manage our own tasks and deadlines with plenty of feedback and collaboration, so I can depend on them. Managers are flexible, and open to suggestions and requests, and work with my skillset and time management. The office space is half open half closed environment, where there are plenty of choice spots for small conference calls or undisturbed tasks. No one looks over my shoulder if I have to make a short personal call or have an afternoon snack. It's a mac environment, so work-life runs smoothly with reliable hardware, but if I need anything else, I know that if it's within reason, it will happen. Being a long-term employee is nice, too.

Cons

Newcomers that don't learn the ropes first and don't show promise of contribution won't fit into company policies and culture. It will be hard to fit in if you are not proactive or motivated, so you have to remember to keep an open mind. Our projects can be very fast-paced. Office can be cold, sometimes, so layers are a must.
