Pros
Very flexible with changing schedules and taking hours off. It is great to work on campus if you are taking classes here because you can go between them so easily. There is also a current focus on making more opportunities for the student assistants and to make them feel more important.
Cons
My current workplace has a very toxic member at a high position. This member gets away with never doing their job and they harass other workers. This member has clashed with student assistants many times. Nothing is done about this and it feels pointless to try and get things done about it. I'm not sure if this kind of thing persists throughout all workplaces on campus, but it is notable.
