Pros

Management is well connected and is competent at the job. As a consultant, he is good at what he does. A decade + of experience in the Asian sustainability scene. The only pro was that this firm oddly seems to attract bright, passionate, intelligent and competent employees. Team members were especially highly educated. Working with the team was an extremely positive experience, without which I would have quit after a month. They made the work experience so much better.

Cons

- Tiny firm, less than 5 in the entire team. This was clear in the interview, but the firm made it seem as if the working culture was cohesive, had a flat hierarchy and an organic, supportive environment... turned out not to be very accurate. -Culture: The above would be fine if the management culture was positive. However the firm was petty, micromanaged issues and workflow despite telling employees to take ownership of their work. This was very conflicting and sent mixed signals, culminating in misinterpretations and miscommunications... rather unfortunate, I would say! - Management displayed a seemingly open attitude about projects and new ideas, but never delivered. The person would drop opportunities during conversation but when the employees would follow up, it was like hitting your head against the wall. Very discouraging. - Turnover rate is extremely high, all of the team members were temporary employees (interns), the only (now-ex) permanent (As far as i know) employee left. - There was also subtle manipulation of the team members against each other. Rather disturbing, I would think! Overall, would not recommend to work here because the management culture is so bad.

Pros

Fully work from home, company lunches at least monthly. Good starting place if you have no experience in sustainability consulting/Ecovadis.

Cons

Turnover rate is horrendous which should be your first concern. The boss will take on countless projects with no regard for manpower. I OT-ed everyday. He also threw me under the bus during client calls and blamed analysts for not fulfilling client requests when he failed to pass them on. He has no overview of current projects and works via solving problems in most pressing order. You learn things here very quickly because there is little to no guidance and you HAVE to know them. Also the pay is not good.
