CSRS is a large, multi-discipline firm with a good reputation and they land a lot of large projects and programs.
Cons
CSRS lands a lot of large programs and they open hire new staff for those programs. But they often lay off that staff when the programs are completed. Also, they hire people to do certain tasks but you will forever do that task with no chance of ever getting promoted. One engineer was doing a lot of drainage design, She complained that she wanted to broaden her skills and work on other projects. She was told sorry, but you will keep doing only drainage design. I worked there for over 10 years and kept doing only what I did when I was hired. If you are looking for a firm where you can grow and get promoted in your career, this is not the place. After 15 years of working there, nearly everyone that was there when I started had left due to being in a dead end job.
