Stable job, nice office facilities

Cons

- HR over staffed, so they work to give you the worst possible deal when joining eroding as much of the award as possible. - safety is way way overboard beyond the point that it makes people complacent as they believe everything is covered by a process. - Some senior staff are too arrogant to even acknowledge a person after saying hello to them - Some areas are understaffed such as finance and IT leading to constant pressure placed upon them - salaries are below par

Slow moving organisation with recognition in the energy sector Plenty of learning opportunities if you enjoy observing organisational behaviour in its natural habitat Cloud-to-on-prem migration is very well supported (and extremely well funded) You will become highly skilled at navigating ambiguity, politics, and “strategic realignment”

Cons

Culture is very much top-down, and not in the empowering Agile sense Career progression appears closely correlated with proximity to decision-makers rather than delivery outcomes (a valuable insight for aspiring sociologists) Many experienced staff and top-tier consultants have exited, taking with them strategy, planning capability, and delivery momentum Interesting or innovative initiatives are routinely red-lined unless they align with the approved migration narrative Decision-making can feel pre-determined, with consultation occurring mainly for ceremonial purposes

Good Salary and benefits, there are good people there as well.

Cons

The most toxic place I have ever been apart of. Processes are outdated, which doesn't really matter as no one follows them anyway, certain management do what they please.
