Pros

I did not find any. The best I could come up with was the chance to set my own hours to get my job done. I will check back when I find some.

Cons

The training program with this company is the worst I have ever experienced. They tell you to go to a website and review videos about a job they have not even described to you. The supervisor calls you and asks you to drive two hours (one way) to come to a three hour training and drive home two hours, and they dont want to pay you for all your time. Come on folks, lets be fair. If you want me to work for you and travel for training because my supervisor cant/wont come to me then at least pay me for all of my time. Train me in the store that I would be working at. Get my supervisor to go over my job with me, and to go over the computer applications with me. You gave me a log in and password and said "get your training done" - but dont describe anything to me. Poor, poor, communications. Last, ask your people what there business hours are. Your supervisors calling me at 9 pm to see if I am available at 8 am the next morning is poor business practices. Yes I do have a life and other obligations, yes I am grateful and happy to be working for you, but treat me with respect also.

Pros

It pains me not to give a higher rating!! I absolutely love this kind of work. It's super flexible on days & hours you can work. It's total independence out in the field. I'm always by myself. I love using my attention to detail & having some creative freedom with certain displays. Pay is better than most. Managers are willing to work with you if they see you are doing what you can on your end.

Cons

I've had 6 Managers over the course of the three years I've been there. Only one of which I've met face to face. No pay raise, but I'm also part time. When I needed hours my first year, there were none to be given. Now that I have a second job, a year later, there are all kinds of hours available. I've had points taken off of my overall employee rating from stores in locations that I never agreed to work & never stepped foot in. The travel pay isn't worth it to me. I said $14/hr, but it's different than a normal hourly job. You have weekly tickets or Service Orders & they give you a window of time they want it completed. If you know you'll have to go over, you can contact them. For the most part, you're not gonna get much more than what's been estimated though. I feel like I always end up actually working more than I'm able to claim. That's more my fault though & many people do NOT do that. Another con is occasional attitude from management at new stores. When you visit a location for the first time & they are not familiar with you, sometimes they let it be known that they're suspicious of you. And if that particular Service Order didn't provide a LOA or more in-depth details, then it can put you on the spot & be embarrassing.
