Pros

-Laid back environment -Good life/work balance -Small team. Their are two owners, two technicians, two secretaries and one part time engineer and one full time engineer. -Typical of engineering firms you are just a number nothing else in grand scheme of things except this is sort of family run business so you have son and brother involved as well.

Cons

-Growth at CPE is basically none. Basically, you start at one place and even after twenty years you'll be in the same place doing the same thing without much change in salary. -Being small business, insurance is very very expensive as a result of high average age. I would just get your own private insurance which is cheaper than what they have for family. -Owners are very paranoid that you will steal the company information even though you are not doing or going to do anything like that. -If owners even hear/smell that you are looking for another job because of growth then they will fire you right at the spot the same day. -They don't like anyone or their employees to grow. They want to keep you tied down in one spot and in one salary for rest of your life while doing twice or three times the work. -When asked how can I have little growth owners who are the boss replied that salary you are earning is good and it is going on tax break anyways. You don't need more raise. They then kept on saying this argument over and over again about all money will be given to taxes anyways.
