Pros

In at 8am, leave at 5pm, hour long lunch break.

Cons

Staff turnover is very high, due to poor management. Most of the staff is still very "green"- in the interview they will tell you they have people that have worked there for over 10 years, but that is a reflection of only 3 people out of close to 20. Most people have worked there for less than a year.

Thank you for your feedback. Enhanced training for all personnel is always a positive. In regards to staff turnover, this is quite high in the medical field in general, due to the sometimes stressful nature of health care and taking on some of the emotional aspects of very sick people. Many of the staff, possibly including yourself, are lacking in years and that is actually a plus. Our company actually gives people a chance to break into the medical field where others will not. 4 people out of close to 20 (one did just retire after 19 years) pretty much all started when they were much younger. What can I say? Some people believe in an employer and decide to make their career in one place. Those people grow personally and professionally and value the environment we offer. Sometimes people leave due to moving into another industry or due to spousal job obligations which take them to another city or state. We value our employees regardless of their tenure with the company. It is a proven statistic that 90 % plus of Millennials specifically will job hop prior to a year into a job. We are affected no differently than any other company. The person writing this clearly did not see the benefit of our working environment despite the opportunities provided. We tell all of our employees that if and when a better opportunity arises which furthers them in their career that we salute their efforts to improve and gain both in experience and pay. As a small company we offer what we can and we are upfront at all times as to what we can and can't do. WE appreciate your comment about greater communication and will take this into account going forward. Good Luck in your future endeavors. COEM

Pros

COEM is a great opportunity for anyone with a keen interest in working in the health and wellness field. Every position has direct contact with world class physicians, who are willing to teach at any level to improve your skills. There is even opportunity to learn business practices and to grow your career. I was with the company six years, and was given the opportunity to work remotely when my husband's career moved us all over the world. I have worked in many roles, but by far my favorite has been working as a clinical historian and working directly with doctor's and patients. This role showed me first hand how functional medicine can change lives by improving health. Everyday in this job you have the opportunity to impact patient lives. This is an extremely rewarding place to work. The hours are great, Monday through Friday 8-5 , which works for many schedules. This is an excellent place to not only learn skills but to grow a career.

Cons

As this is a smaller practice there are limited benefits, however pay is competitive.

Pros

We get weekends off and also paid Holidays, management is reasonable with any employee who's doing their job proficiently. They hired me with no experience willing to give me a chance after graduating from college with a medical degree. The Doctor's are all wonderful and always looking for the best outcome for all of our patients. While on maternity leave I was told I could take as much time as I need off to spend time and, bond with my newborn. I was also offered a higher position and compensated more than I was required to get, which was very courteous of my upper management. If I ever need time off for family matters or any other personal issue its never a problem. My pay is reasonable but, with any place you work for you have to work your way up to make the pay you want too which takes time.I'm very happy with my job and management. COEM is a great facility to work for, its truly a pleasure to work here .

Cons

Dealing with immature former coworkers who are unhappy with our management who feel the need to bash our facility and our management because of how they were let go. Not everything you read on the internet is true an everyone is entitled to their own opinion but, don't believe half of what you hear. Other than dealing with hateful former employees there aren't any true cons about this practice.
