      Pros

      The various product lines were interesting and always provided a good challenge. Coworkers were always nice and helpful. You can learn quite a bit in a short period of time.

      Cons

      Management tends to get in their own way, short sighted decisions are common. Not working at the parent companies location provides a lot of additional hurdles to overcome. An annual layoff and new GM was something you can bank on. The work, while interesting, was never consistent.

      Pros

      CMP NY is part of a growing company that is serving a wide range of industries, The company has a good mix of legacy customers, and new customers. The long term outlook for the company is very bright.

      Cons

      The growth initiatives are being supported by the addition of new equipment and manufacturing processes as well as facility improvements. As the company continues to grow additional floor space will be required.

      Decent pay and overtime available

      Cons

      Runs through many CEO's leading to constant lay offs. The employee learns their job well and then is laid off . A new person is hired to learn everything all over again leading to never having a mature product. There was no reason for a lay off if your just going to bring a beginner back in. Makes no sense. Notorious for lay offs. Call back the folks laid off? They knew the job the best!
