Pros
Some labs have very good facilities and are handled by hardworking scientists and you can get good work done and maybe even publish a paper if u work long enough.
Cons
Its very hard to get a good scientist , most of them treat it as a government job, they just come eat and go . Maybe 2-3 out of 10 are serious about their work.
