Pros
I acquired valuable experience working as a new host at age 50. I was offered the job due to my presence on social media. I was posting info on community events, businesses, organizations, and artists on social media and was offered the opportunity to train as a host.
Cons
Very short staffed, management style is of the we've always done it this way mentality, back-handed comments made about your work, not a good place to be learning the ropes under the current regime, fired in an unjust manner, having never been formally written up, having been through my 3-month probationary period without being formally evaluated - never signed anything to the effect of me having disruptive behavior but was stated as the reason for my dismissal (was never fired from a job before), worked many unpaid hours which were made light of, low pay for the amount of work involved even though the station has more than enough money to pay people better (made more working from home without the vehicle expenses).
