Pros

The company has lots of opportunity to grow. Their IT Infrastructure is poorly configured/maintained. For someone new to their career wanting to learn, or someone with the expertise with energy to improve the ways things are. You'll think of lots of things while working here. But unfortunately not be able to implement most if any of it.

Cons

You'll be forced to work 6-12 months as a support position until they determine if you're "qualified" to, not only be a support person, but also at the same exact time, take on the responsibilities of a systems analyst. This does not matter if you have a degree, this does not matter if you have years of experience. Management refuses to allow critical and necessary improvements to their technology infrastructure. Machine lifecycle are 7+ years, networking closets are rats nests. Networking and server software is severely unpatched. Lots of aging and poorly configured infrastructure. While they occasionally manage to hire talent that can fix it, upper management doesn't want to try it because it's new and scary. Upper management has been afraid of embracing new technologies such as the cloud and other tech that would simplify the workflows of their IT staff. Last but not least, you'll want to save your PTO because it takes a long time to get enough to do anything meaningful.

CIT is an old-school company, but you still feel like a contributor.

Cons

If more traditional organizations are not your speed, you won't like it here.

Pros

The benefits were not bad.

Cons

The environment was toxic and misogynistic. The pay was only ok.
