Pros
The people are hard working and friendly. They try to help out as much as possible. They were very flexible with work-life balance when possible. Of course, some project came along which destroyed all that, but they were temporary. The managers try to be helpful, and if they are not, beware, you are probably on their list for the next round of layoffs.
Cons
The bureaucracy was unbearable. Many meaningless tasks to do, just because. Senior management said they were concerned, but nothing ever improved, only got worse with each "improvement." Many felt powerless and unable to make a difference. There was also much uncertainty about the direction of the company as almost no one trusted the C-level managers. There was little opportunity to move around or advance in your career. A desire to do that could mark you for the next round of layoffs. Technology utilized was pretty old.
