Calm, stable, non-americanized environment, traditional to academia. Absence of pressure - no micromanagement, no overload. Work-life balance. Employees at the company reply very quickly, as all are located in one country, and not overloaded. Responsibilities are divided among colleagues, relying on traditional division of labor and expertise.

Salary is lower, than in commercial sector. Non-permanent contract. You are expected to be self-motivated, and have the ability to deliver results independently. Office interior is on the older side.

Personnel and management are quite friendly and understanding. I learned a lot while working for Optical Networks Dept. over various Telco industry projects as well as building up programming skills.

Honestly, benefits were not up to mark for a foreign 3rd country nationals regarding paperwork I would say, but the management's hands are closed too in this case.
