Pros

Working at CERN, you get to work for a leading-edge science experiment. The technology is incredible and you learn so much from the physicists and engineers in your collaboration. You also pick up analytic skills that are highly desired in today's workforce.

Cons

It's difficult to get your research through the entire collaboration. Everyone has an opinion about how to best conduct an analysis, and it's your responsibility to convince others your doing everything correctly. Concerns over the smallest details of an analysis can delay a publication by several months. Sometimes this is warranted, but other times it's minutiae.

Pros

The employment process is very smooth and supportive. The technical team interviewed me for technical skills, and the HR is very supportive and helpful. Especially I haven't been employed by CERN previously, so I have a lot of questions. The employment team is very helpful and answered all my questions patiently. Also I like the job and my work very much.

Cons

Maybe the primary communication method could be email instead of phone calls? I sometimes miss phone calls, but will check every email.
