Pros

Benefits, if you can last. They are not worth what you will most likely experience.

Cons

Where do I start? It is great to have access to quality, health and dental care, but that is almost a human right in 2019. HR is completely useless in terms of helping employees. Policies for pay raises and flexplace/flextime are not lear or equitable. Employees that are favored may work offsite while others are left to wonder if it is also aceptable for them. Unit managers, executives and office directors are paid extremely well, while everyone else is facing the same hardships as the clients that we serve. In some instances, tax dollars are used to give division directors and favored staff 10+ % increases in pay while lower-level staff are limited to 2-5% for any promotion. Come here and take a look around, there is a huge and intentional gap in diversity. White women and men run every office and cannot relate to the people that they are serving. The few minoritiess that are employed at CDHS are paid the least compared to their couunterparts and are not cosidered for leadership or management roles. You would think that this department would have been investigated by now for systemic patterns and practices of discriminating against minorities and older people for pay promotions and differential pay offerings/opportunities. So much more to tell :)

Pros

Efficient, collaborative, transparent grant review process facilitated by Lorendia Schmidt of Meaningful Collaboration, LLC. I am so impressed by Lorendia and the rest of the TGYS team. Coordinating the review of ~$30 million of grant requests is a huge task. I have learned so much working with the ~40 other grant reviewers and look forward to sharing the TGYS funding opportunity with prospective grantees in 3 years for the next grant cycle.

Cons

none, my experience has been very good

Pros

Great benefits for women (only) if you ever get to retirement..

Cons

Where to start. First day I was told that men dont last long. One only needs to looks at the H/R data! It was a living hell for me!! I was undermined at every corner! Half my work was edited to be inaccurate. When I went to perform inaccurate work as requested, it was edited further! Later I was fired for performance issues, which was refuted by H/R. But, the DPA board is worthless and side's with the departments. They ended up using some legal timing issue to be-rid of me for good. Couldn't imagine spending 30y of my life there working for a lady that looked like Benjamin Franklin and getting stabbed in the back. I have any document for proof on demand...
