Pros

Great feeling of helping people in financial distress.

Cons

Declining pay. Antique computer systems. Constant management changes. Knowledge and experience rewarded by harassment and termination. Target, torment and fire cycle for employees. Micromanagement. Debt management plan sales above counseling. Outdated services. This company wants to squeeze 12 hours out of an 8 hour work day. Building is old, musty and dusty.

Pros

I started with CCCSMD in 2017. During that time I was a customer service representative. Over the years I have transitioned into several different positions. The biggest pros for this organization are the following: meaningful work, strong progressive leadership, room for growth and personal development, diverse and inclusive environment, beautiful open office with some options for remote work, and a staff that genuinely cares for each other and the clients. Overall positive experience.

Cons

There were many cons when I initially started with the organization in 2017. Over the last several years there has been a complete cultural shift. The organization's leadership really listened to the staff and made adjustments to make CCCSMD a great work environment.

Pros

-I loved my direct co-workers, some of them are life long friends (but you can't help but bond with people dealing with the same working conditions) -Being able to help people at high stress moments of their lives

Cons

-This place is more of a "sales" environment then you might think. -Management from direct supervisors all the way up to the CEO are untrained, No college education and masters of making you feel that you need them more than they need you. -Pay is drastically below par and do not expect a raise for the life of you CCCS career. -Some Business Practices are almost unethical. The main concern of the program is to get people started regardless of if they can maintain the payment schedule. -No room for advancement and if you do advance you will have no support to be successful at it. More often than not you will see someone promoted and demoted within the same year. -Stability and longevity of this company is very scary. They have been operating in the red for some time. Truthfully i am shocked to see that they are still afloat.
