Pros
People were friendly, the teamwork was wonderful and we built some excellent products. People were promoted from within. People were allowed to take risks without fear of negative consequences if they failed.
Cons
The merger with Process Claims changed the culture for the worse. Friendliness and teamwork disappeared as the "Us (Process Claims) vs. Them (Not Process Claims)" mentality took over. You could determine the mood by observing the behavior of the staff who sat outside the office of one manager. If they were relaxed, it was a good day. If they wouldn't look at you when you walked by, that manager was on the warpath and it was a bad day.
