Pros

I've never had management like this before, in the best way possible. Managers are understanding and are human-first. The work-life balance is excellent, it allows for appointments and other necessities without taking PTO. A family-first company I am proud to work for. Managers trust employees to do their work, and micromanagement is not in their vocabulary. Focused on celebrating their employees hard work instead of berating them. Focused on employee growth and career advancement. They took me from knowing little to knowing a lot. Managers work extremely hard and are super knowledgable so you know you are in good hands when you need something or want to learn more. We won Best Places to Work in CNY in 2024 -- that should speak for itself!

Cons

8am-5pm are the work hours no matter what. Schedule is still flexible when you need it so not a big deal at all.

Pros

A few co-workers have been some of the best people I've had the pleasure of getting to know. Technical Manager is one of the best managers I've met. Not many days that take you past the normal 8-5.

Cons

Nepotism by far is the greatest weakness of this company. If you are not a family member or a friend of the family, do not expect to go anywhere within this company. High turnover is a problem for most groups. Management has asked workers how it could improve, but is either unwilling or unable to implement the most common ways of retaining talent. The impression is that management expects it as opposed to fixing it. Wrong individuals are given opportunities. I've had the unfortunate experience of watching an individual relentlessly abuse (verbally) a newer employee. The situation was submitted to HR with no action to the abuser. The newer employee shortly submitted a 2 week notice and the abuser has progressed to a management role since that incident. No opportunity for anyone within the technical groups. The "tiers" of positions are nothing more than title changes with more responsibility. That's it. Under compensated and underemployed. A common theme in the working world today and this company is no exception. You are setup to fail, and the "failures" keep you pigeon holed.
