Pros
- They pay better than most in the same market - Outwardly the culture is positive
Cons
- 90% meetings in Mandarin - 996 is a low estimate for my team's working hours - Artificial deadlines are used to generate unnecessary urgency (constant crunch) - Leaders are out to look good and cover themselves, they will not provide any value but will make sure they are seen to offer support in front of their superiors - One of the company values is openness but a lot of backchannel politics goes on between more senior staff, not excluding HR
