Pros
The designers are a fun group of people to work with.
Great work-life balance.
Cons
Awful employee communication and HR management.
Not a lot of project activity or choice in the projects you get put on.
Non-existent project management and a lack of appreciation for people with management skills... people are pushed from one project to the next with little communication and the work has no managerial direction.
Projects are understaffed.
No training is offered in the curriculum which leaves new staff incapable of executing it.
No opportunity to have your opinions taken into account by management about overall project strategy and communication of project ideas.
You are evaluated based on how management feels toward you, not based on any evidence of your performance.
Low industry-compared compensation... sell themselves as a nonprofit with lack of funds, but they bring in million dollar projects then understaff them.
