There is now a mentality in this workplace that if you have your Masters in Library Science you are wonderful. Any other education or experience whether in a library setting or elsewhere is not taken into account. It is a very cliquey organization. Staff have been on contract for more than 2 years (no vacation, lieu days or benefits) and if they are on the on call list they are expected to be available 24/7.
