Pros

At the lowest levels, the coordinators do an excellent job. They really keep the place running and excel at managing busy and demanding production schedules. I enjoyed working with my colleagues, all creative and fun people from a variety of backgrounds. HR did what they could to help employees make advancements, though the opportunities weren't many. They genuinely seemed to make an effort to help anyone that wanted to work hard and move up.

Cons

There is this atmopshere of "You can't sit with us" that the junior producers/exes have cultivated that really makes entry level employees feel unimportant and disposable. They seem generally put off by any suggestions by lower level employees, in production or otherwise. An attitude of "who are you to tell me that!?" is very pervasive here. This is enforced by the fact that the office has reserved parking for them and maybe 5-10 spaces for "everybody else" at the office and the parking in Van Nuys is atrocious. Also, when the insipid Kardashians are in town, no parking for anyone while those morons double and triple park their gas guzzlers in the back. They also have a nicer break room for them that's fully stocked and catered lunches all the time. Van Nuys is a trash can. If they were making amazing, ground-breaking television, then I'd have no right to complain, but they haven't made anything really noteworthy in a long time. They seem like a woman in their 40s that dresses and acts like they're still in their mid twenties. The pay is laughable, especially considering how hard you work. I made about $390 a week (after taxes). I would have gotten another job, but I was already working 50-60 hours a week, with lots of unpaid OT. Try living on that in LA. I'm amazed I made it through that period at all. This is literally a job you work at once, get the credits and references, and GTFO. Even if you could advance, I'd advise against it. There is literally nobody from my hiring class of 30-40 still left at the company.

Pros

Takes care of their employees; wants to place them on shows one after another. Work from home for freelancers, though they have office space if necessary. Julie Pizzi is amazing.

Cons

Known for their low wages, but if you're coming in from an outside company, they'll match your rate.
