The burnout rate in this position is BRUTAL. All day long, you are making cold phone calls. A minimum of 150 calls every day. Because Buildertrend is a construction software, the people you are trying to reach are all contractors. As someone that grew up around construction, I can undoubtedly say that a majority of contractors are usually not very happy to recieve a sales phone call in the middle of their work day. And they tell you off for it almost every time. Aside from the verbal abuse, this job is also potentially very stressful and harmful to your mental health. I know I am not the only person that has been affected this way either. You are just a number to the company. If you cannot somehow convince these contractors to buy this software, you are useless to the company. Sales is a lot about luck. If you have say 3 bad months in a row, odds are, they're already discussing your job termination. Then they increase the pressure immensely by giving you a nearly unachievable ultimatum. If you don't meet that exact stat line by the given deadline, you will be fired on the spot. It's honestly cruel in a way. They give you a goal that they tell you is "the bare minimum", but is actually a very difficult achievement for most of the reps. So yah it's a pretty high-stress job sometimes
