Work in the downtown if you like it with access to the restaurants etc. Could be a good place if you have absolutely no work experience.
Cons
There are startups that change the whole world, make money move and people think like never before. Buildfire is not one of them. This is just an underfunded startup with a hopeless product that looks pathetic in comparison to its competitors. All software development is currently offshore because the company cannot afford to hire people in San Diego. Revenue is times less than it's operating costs, which drives an internal culture of lies and backstabbing. When you go to the team-building events like sky-jumping do not forget to bring your wallet because you'll have to pay out of your own pocket. If you come from outside of SD downtown you'll have to pay for your parking out of your pocket too. When they fire you they'll not give you any severance package whatsoever. Really, why? All these 4 and 5-star reviews are written by marketing people who's been told to do so by marketing. Stay away.
