Pros

Can take on extra responsibilities which is good for CV. Gave you useful insight into exactly what a working environment and good management is not. Nice co-working facilities.

Cons

Expected to be up at 7am answering queries and emails, and often until 10pm. Micromanagement, passive-aggressive and bullying tactics. Most of the staff's conversations would be about the incompetency and personality of a particular manager. No phone or laptop provided. Not meant to leave desks unless necessary, looks/comments if leaving work on time or taking a lunch break. Insulting salary, for actual hours worked, way way below minimum wage. Never experienced anything like it before or since. The unhappiest i -and colleagues around me - have ever been in a working environment. Seems like a vanity project. Impressed they're still an active company. If you're reading this and considering working for them, don't. Toxic working culture to the extreme with little benefit.

Hi, first and foremost we are really sorry to read this and hugely regret that you feel this way. We know things didn%E2%80%99t work out with you as any of us would have hoped, though it was never our wish for you to feel like this. It%E2%80%99s absolutely not something we take lightly, and we take it on board. At the same time, some of the claims you%E2%80%99ve made in this review are a distortion of the truth and feel somewhat vindictive as a result of our decision to part ways. Nobody is ever expected to work 7am-10pm, and nobody is watched in terms of their desk time and lunch breaks. We try to have a really supportive and flexible approach when it comes to %E2%80%98face-time%E2%80%99 - but at the same time, particularly in a customer service role, certain structure around when one is required to be online is required. Two of our employees work remotely part-time, with approval on the days they are in the office to leave extra early so that they can get home in time to be with their kids. This was an arrangement proactively suggested to them by us, because we care about their well being and general happiness. We care about great people doing great work - where they do it from and when they do it should never be the issue.It%E2%80%99s certainly true, that when working within a 4-5 person startup, the work can be really hard and demanding, without great resource to fall back on. We care deeply about our people though, and are committed to building a culture which ensures people feel valued, challenged and generally love their work. Without a doubt, the work can be really hard and the expectations are very high, but we%E2%80%99d never want that to result in negative pressure on people. Clearly, we didn%E2%80%99t achieve that in your case, and for that we are sorry. You left bubble a fair while ago, and we%E2%80%99d like to think that as with many aspects across our business, we%E2%80%99re always learning from our mistakes and improving. We%E2%80%99re by no means perfect, though are committed to building a great team culture, filled with talented people who love what they do and love working together. As was always the case when you worked here, we are always open to criticism and feedback, and people who work here know that they can have these discussions in confidence and in a genuinely constructive and open manner. If you ever wanted to do that with us, we%E2%80%99d be only too happy and we genuinely wish you all the best.
