Pros
I worked out of the Toronto office - You get to work with a smart and hardworking team - If you really put in the work, you can climb the corporate ladder very quickly - The target bonus is higher than most companies - You get fed, lunch is provided and during the busy periods, dinner as well.
Cons
- This is not a workplace for you if you have other commitments in your life, whether it is kids, a significant other, friends, or after-work activities. You will be working 13+ hour days Mon-Thu for about six months out of the year. Everyone on my floor seemed to be young with no kids, which is why this culture works. - There is no flexibility, you are expected to work from the office 100% of the time. If you aren’t there, you basically aren’t working at all! - You are required to dress formally everyday, and on Fridays, men are allowed to take their tie off - For some teams, it is not the norm to take breaks. My manager never left their desk, they brought lunch back to their desk, never took a single break, and worked past midnight everyday - Socials were always held at a bar for drinks, and never really anything else
