Pros

Struggling to find any it’s that bad. You stay in the expectation that things will get better, it never does.

Cons

We’ve got this cool new bike. Oh great, when’s it launching? Next week. Oh right and what do you expect from us in a week? Global, premium experience of course. Ok, time’s tight to turn things around, what budget do we have? Oh you don’t have any budget. Right. But we’ll critique you on this and be the first to tell you it’s all your fault when it doesn’t sell. Sure. HR actively couldn’t give a monkeys - ooo monkeys. Project management - what’s that? Be happy with a job half done. Team work - there are others I should work with? ‘It’s all for one and…well as long as I’m ok.’ Company values - what are they? Finger pointing from senior management - everyone else is to blame but myself. Lack of support - from well, anyone. Managers, senior team members, HR. Lack of clarity - ‘your objectives are these following 10 things, and we will review all of them despite the business making one thing and having to either recall it or stop production because it was rushed out of the door and therefore budgets were slashed because we couldn’t sell the bike leaving you no money to do anything. But we’ll still judge your performance never the less.’ Burnout - ‘you’re not working hard enough’ Development and progression - you only succeed if you’re an alpha personality, because everyone else clearly doesn’t know what they’re doing right?

Pros

Incredibly relevant, exciting and high quality product centered in urban living. Culture of support and encouragement presents opportunities for learning and advancement. Vertically integrated business gives you insight from manufacturing, to distribution, marketing, retail, and all the way through to after sale customer support. Fast paced work place with ownership of your work, ambitious vision for growth and ties into a global team. Small enough to have coffee with CEO but big enough to make an impact across continents.

Cons

Communication can be challenging as company expands offices across languages and time zones. Lean operation means all hands on deck (if that bothers you). Rapid pace can set your head spinning (but it will be ok).

Pros

Flexible hybrid schedule Fortnight Friday schedule Some coworkers are supportive and friendly Great Brand and Company.

Cons

Favoritism heavily affects career growth and job security. Employees often take on extra responsibilities without recognition. Ongoing downsizing and layoffs create uncertainty. Limited or unclear career advancement opportunities.
