Pros

Work from home Pay is decent compared to some other places but could be better for some roles due to the volume and demand of the work

Cons

I do feel like Bromford's way of working is very chaotic, there are always constant changes within departments and systems. They are always trying to find a resolution to one issue and promptly moving on to the next without ensuring the current issue is actually resolved and everything is running smoothly. Testing always seems so rushed with system updates. There is a lack of procedures and rigorous processes that both current and new employees can follow. Certain managers come across very anti-people forward and more concerned about creating less issues for themselves/covering their own back. They also have a preference towards certain individuals, this becomes very clear when it comes to allocation of tasks and flexibility requests. There is such emphasis on this DNA that a lot of people clearly in Bromford do not live up to, even the managers who promote it. I think managers at Bromford really need to remember that your team members are real humans with different skills, capacities, capabilities so be a bit more reasonable with what you are asking them to do or spend their time on. Petty admin work/HR related tick boxes can wait especially where the work is high volume. Speak out on behalf of your teams and push back where necessary instead of always being scared about what the consequences are for yourself

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I really appreciate the detail you've provided, and I’m sorry to hear that your experience hasn't been as positive as we would have hoped. It's great to hear that you value the option to work from home and find the pay decent, but we take your concerns seriously. I understand your frustrations with the constant changes and the feeling that some issues aren't fully addressed before moving on to others. We're always working to improve our processes, and your comments about testing and procedures are definitely something we’ll look into. I also hear your concerns about management and team dynamics. We strive to create a fair and supportive environment, and it’s disappointing to hear that this hasn’t always been the case. I’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to the relevant teams so we can address it. Lastly, I really appreciate your suggestion that managers should be more mindful of workloads and balancing tasks. This is something we’ll take on board as well. I’d like to discuss your feedback further to ensure it’s passed on to the right team. If you’d be happy to talk, please feel free to get in touch with me directly at recruitment.team@bromford.co.uk. Your input is valuable, and I’d love to hear more about your experience. Best wishes, Natalie

Pros

In general the people who work here are great and help each other and want to make a difference. The aims of the organisation sound great and draw you in to feel like you can be yourself and have your say, the reality is very different.

Cons

In customer experience the senior leadership is top down, restrictive and bullying. When issues and concerns are raised even from within leadership roles these are swept under the carpet. If you question decisions or aren't a yes person you are described as negative even if you do this in a constructive way. There is also a sense of you get roles if your face fits

Thank you for posting your review, we're sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you. Lots of what you raise point towards the fact there has been so much change at Bromford - which can feel uncomfortable and unsettling for colleagues. We have, and are continuing to, put lots of support in place for teams, individuals and leaders, and our transformation programme is now well underway; helping us align our services and improve how we do things. Wishing you all the best for the future.
