Pros

There is genuine educational expertise within the business, and many individuals are open to change and improvement when given the opportunity.

Cons

Employee feedback is actively collected, but little action is taken, leading to frustration and disengagement. Management style is highly micro-managed and rooted in outdated practices, with limited trust in senior professionals to operate autonomously. HR practices are inconsistent, and teams are often led without clear people-management capability or adherence to HR best practice. While there is strong expertise in the organisation, people are rarely empowered to drive change, often due to fear of repercussions. The business is family-led, which is not inherently an issue; the challenge is a lack of genuine willingness at founder level to change leadership approach. High staff turnover reflects these ongoing issues.

Pros

I wish I could think of any.

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. I witnessed grown adults crying due to the way they were treated whilst working here. The was a toxic culture verging on bullying. It wasn't a good experience.

Pros

Some good employees who are truly passionate about education, and making a difference in students/school staff lives.

Cons

People: Colleagues simply don't show up to meetings and keep their cameras off. I find this quite unique that its part of the culture to not show up, not send any comms about not being able to attend. Culture: Pure toxic: most managers play games to avoid any blame if something goes wrong. When something goes right, everyone wants the credit/makes it their idea. Managers are basically absent for employees, which makes it challenging to know where to focus your attention. To highlight how blame works at Bromcom - I had something stolen from my desk whilst I visited the toilet, the company’s response was that I should have taken my possessions with me (thus, being my fault for not adhering to the company’s guidance). Etiquette: Colleagues simply don't show up to meetings and keep their cameras off (even with customers!) I find it quite unique that its part of the culture to not show up, not send any comms about not being able to attend. The company accepts it and doesn’t seem to care even about the staff's waste of time. Tech: As a company, they cannot build and maintain the basics. The system consistently crashes, and customers always complain - there's no urgency to fix these issues. HR: I wouldn’t bother communicating with them - zero care given.
