Pros
Looks like new hires were able to negotiate better compensation and titles. Coming from a startup, the workload was lower. There were statements like " work less, get paid more" by people who were hired from the industry leader(s). Newer buildings and covered parking. 401k match and commuter reimbursement.
Cons
It totally depends on the group/BU you belonged to, as the review may or may not match the company as a whole. I ended up in a group filled with B players and it was frustrating. The A's have moved on after cashing out. Some are semi-retired and are here just for the medical benefits maybe. Looks like a collection of leftovers from different companies. There is no collaboration between groups and they work in silos. The bar is lower. If you get comfortable here, you are probably cementing yourself. The company does things just for the sake of doing it. Brocade as an entity might disappear after the acquisition is completed. Lot of uncertainty as the company is being sold in pieces.
