Pros

- Pay is OK and there is a bonus scheme - Most junior and middle level employees are lovely

Cons

- Very fast paced, bordering on toxic, work environment. Constantly made to feel that if you dont stay late every day you arent working hard enough, expected to make the job your life - Some heads of department/directors are terrible at management and really need to work on their people skills - Very high staff turnover and most people you speak to are getting ready to quit - The infamous broadwick boys club, where nearly all the directors are men who have been friends for a long time, i know a lot of women at the company are unhappy but the 'lads' seem to do well... - Have no interest in becoming a modern work environment, absolutely no WFH even though everyone wants to - You only get 1 free ticket to the events, so if you get a +1 they still have to pay to go which I think is tight

Pros

If you're willing to put in the time and effort, the rewards will follow. But it requires full commitment, half-hearted effort won't cut it here. This isn't a conventional 9-5 role, so if that's what you're looking for, this probably isn't the right fit. On the plus side, the company offers fantastic perks, from great events and exclusive tickets to a brilliant social scene. The people are genuinely talented and a pleasure to work with. Broadwick is constantly doing exciting things, which keeps the work interesting and means there's always plenty to learn and develop from. Oh, and dogs are welcome in the office, which is always a bonus.

Cons

The atmosphere at head office feels off, though as someone who isn't there daily it doesn't affect me too much. Career progression appears to be more about favouritism than merit, if you're not in management's good books, advancement is essentially off the table. There's no work from home policy, and simply asking about it is frowned upon. Yet senior staff seem to enjoy that flexibility without question, which creates an obvious double standard. Senior management tend to conduct conversations behind closed doors and whispers, there's a noticeable tension directed towards certain members of staff. If you're not well-liked, you'll be left in no doubt about it. Perhaps most frustratingly, bonuses are dangled as incentives and promised when targets are met, but the rewards never actually materialise. This is one of the biggest jokes in the business.

Pros

Tickets for shows are good and some really lovely people.

Cons

Very minimal training when starting in my role at Broadwick with no plan of progression within the role. The path of progression at the company is extremely unclear and any talk around pay is nonexistent. The organisation and communication within the team and with external teams is very messy with a massive lack of systems. This leads to many people having too much work leading to burnout.
