Pros

Some of the people are nice. Since management is trying to keep people from quitting, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Work? Only if you feel like it. Work from home but not really work? No problem. Great work and life balance. More life than work which is cool because you can look for a real job and get paid while here.

Cons

Poor culture. Lots of nepotism and if you have been at this place a long time, you get away with everything. Speak down to others? Rewarded. Have no clue what you are doing? Celebrated. Lazy? Promoted. As long as you've got years behind you then you're considered loyal and and can do no wrong. Ever. Everything is run by fear which means people say what they think managers and up want to hear. Employee surveys are not anonymous so don't you dare say anything bad or else you will have a target on your back. Sales are not good. Not sure how the company is going to make it much longer. They sure are top heavy. Lots of CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, President, VP of Sales, VP of Customer Experience, VP of Marketing, Another VP of Sales, VP of Brand, a ton of Directors, another VP of Sales. It's easy to see where the money goes. Definitely not in their product because why would they need to keep service up and running when there are so many C's, VP's and Directors to pay? Benefits are awful. Very expensive for the employee. VERY EXPENSIVE. Pay is poor, desks are from the 1980's and falling apart. Literally falling apart. Heating and cooling system doesn't even work half the time. Very dirty office. Don't look up at the vents. It will gross you out. This place likes to buy companies, make promises they will take care of the people then lay them off. Just be honest. We bought your company and some of you will probably be let go. But while we keep you, we will treat you terrible and with no respect. And we'll let our long time loyal employees make you feel dumb and worthless. Then reward them for treating you like that.

Pros

-WFH (outside of California) -Great peers outside of management -Jim seems great -Diverse for such a small company

Cons

-So many company changes since the beginning of the year, it is nearly unrecognizable from who they were five years ago -Rude management, they will talk down to you and TRY to make you feel dumb -Supervisors micromanage you without giving any support where necessary -The culture is totally dead. Everyone hates their jobs. Meetings are tense and feel like a bunch of zombies on screen -They invite feedback and then retaliate when you give it to them -Marketing has no idea what the product even does and goes back to sales to ask them what they should be marketing and to whom -Tried to move into CX before they were ready, now they have a product that they have put all their eggs in its basket and it doesn't even compare to anyone else on the market -Pay is far less than everyone else -People are dropping like flies, everyone is quitting or getting fired and the rest of us are all brushing up our resumes in preparation. -If you take any time off, expect to have your supervisor reach out to you still. They also do not care what time zone you are in, leadership is all in California and they WILL send you "urgent" matters after 5 PM your time. I will sometimes get emails and Teams messages at 11:30 at night! My manager messaged me over the weekend, I didn't respond as it wasn't an urgent matter and she called me first thing Monday morning asking why i hadn't responded to her. They have no respect for your life outside of work.
