Pros
I learned about myself working for ResCare. I learned how to become a better public speaker, how to be passionate yet firm and how to motivate as well. ResCare also gave me the opportunity to grow my management skills.
Cons
I meet a lot of talented people while working at ResCare. My co-workers were great however upper management was different. The preach Employee Focus however they do not practice it. The good employees do all of the work (i.e. special projects, writing policies, creating flyers, etc.) with no extra pay, no overtime and very little acknowledgement. Management is more inclined to praise those that kiss up more. Which is way all the good employees leave and the employee retention rate is EXTREMELY high. People only stay with the company for less than 2 years. If you are looking for a career, this is not the company.
