Pros
You really get to know a different population. Working with adults with mental retardation was an eye opening experience. Really got to love the people I helped.
Cons
The pay isn't very good. There are dangers working with that group. They can get very aggressive and you have to be the type of person that either doesn't mind being hit, scratched, punched or bit, or else you are gonna have problems. It was also very hard to move up in the company, so unless you are super motivated and ambitious, chances are slim that you will do more than become a shift leader.
