Pros

Nothing good for a pro.

Cons

They say send in HS Diploma. Dont have it easily accessible. Sent in College Transcript and deny my college transcripts for proof of Education. They have schedule your own orientation online through event site, but they cancel it with. O notice, no response from the company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and understand how issues around documentation and canceled orientations can feel discouraging. Education verification requirements are often driven by district and compliance standards, which can limit what documentation we’re able to accept. That said, we recognize the importance of clear, timely communication—especially when schedules or orientations change—and your comments highlight where we need to do better. We appreciate you taking the time to share this perspective and will use it to continue improving our processes and communication.

Pros

BrightBee makes everything as seamless as possible which I love. They are always a phone call/text away if you have any issues and are very quick with responses. This is honestly the best company I have ever worked for thus far and I have been in the working field for 12 years.

Cons

Thus far the only con I would have is that they need to be in more schools and that would allow for more assignments to be available!

Pros

They seem to be a good company who is trying hard to keep employees happy (on the Teacher/Paraprofessional side, I can't speak for the main office/admin side). Positive culture (lots of cutesy "Bee" references), slightly higher than average hourly rate for staff. Schedule is flexible and you can pick up/decline any shifts you like. Thorough background checks and vetting process, with opportunities for PD.

Cons

Unfortunately in certain "hives" (as they call different cities they operate in) work is simply not available. I understand things can happen that are out of the company's control, but after a two-month onboarding process and only one week of work, staff was notified that due to unforseen circumstances, there would be no more work available in the area. Several employees had weeks of shifts scheduled, only to have them canceled the day before the school year started and were left without work.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for highlighting our culture, flexibility, and pay. We’re glad those aspects stood out. We also recognize the frustration caused by inconsistent work availability in some regions. School needs can change quickly, sometimes with limited notice, and we know how disruptive that can be. We’re actively working to improve communication and planning around these shifts. We appreciate the time and care you brought to your work and thank you for being part of BrightBee.
